The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the collective plan of global commitments required to end extreme poverty and hunger, tackle climate change and create a more peaceful, just, and equitable world by 2030. This is a significant multi-stakeholder effort which cannot be delivered by Governments and Civil Society alone. The actions, innovations and finances of the private sector are critical to our ability to deliver.

HELP US ENGAGE WITH YOUTH THROUGH “SI SPHERE”

Because youth represent the country's future workforce, we must understand their needs and focus on establishing modern education for youth in Thailand. We must help and provide opportunities for youth to expand their knowledge and develop further.

SI Sphere is an initiative that helps young people in developing long-term, sustainable intelligence capacities. It will include activities to encourage youth to establish a sustainable intelligence-based society by learning directly from the business sector how to upskill and reskill, which is critical in the digital era, and to prepare them with the mindset to keep up with change intentionally and sustainably.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical lead and contributions:

• Develop strategic work plan, lead and manage SI Youth Club
• Design and lead various initiatives and interventions regarding SI Youth Club, including capacity building, workshops, and seminars for youth, and member companies.
• Develop, prepare, or contribute to various technical outputs and materials, including proposals, concept notes and agendas, workshop materials, presentation, and reports.
• Represent UN Global Compact Network Thailand in related workshops, meetings, and seminars on youth engagement.

Partnerships and stakeholder engagement

• Build strategic steps in the identification of and partnerships building with key partners and stakeholders.
• Actively engage and ensure consistent collaboration with stakeholders, including UN partner agencies, government, businesses, to maintain good partnerships and seek opportunities for joint collaborations.

Administrative support

• Any other administrative duties and support functions as assigned, for the successful implementation in youth engagement

Language skills:

• Proficiency in Thai and English is required.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Education: A first-level university degree preferably social science, law, sustainability management or related field is required.
• Work Experience: Three plus years of experience in project/programme management and administration. Experience working on issues related to sustainability is preferred especially as it relates to UN-business collaboration is desirable.
