UN Global Compact Network Thailand (GCNT) plays a key role in this effort by bringing together businesses, government, and civil society to drive sustainable business practices in Thailand. Through our programmes and partnerships, we support companies in embedding sustainability into their strategies and contributing to national and global impact.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Role Summary
The Programme Intern (BHR & Anti-Corruption) will support the planning, coordination, and implementation of GCNT’s programmes and partnerships related to Business and Human Rights (BHR) and anti-corruption, including human rights due diligence (HRDD), responsible business conduct, and member engagement activities. The role will also contribute to the organization and delivery of trainings and workshops, as well as support policy-related initiatives and stakeholder engagement processes.
The intern will gain practical exposure to corporate sustainability, human rights in business, multi-stakeholder coordination, research and content development, policy engagement, and programme operations in a dynamic professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of BHR and Anti-Corruption programmes and activities, including trainings, workshops, and multi-stakeholder engagements across the year
- Assist in organizing and conducting BHR Academy sessions, HRDD trainings, and thematic workshops (e.g. supply chain, forced labour, grievance mechanisms, and responsible business conduct)
- Support the delivery of key programme activities such as consultation workshops, national dialogues, and knowledge-sharing sessions with business, government, and civil society stakeholders
- Conduct research and analysis on Business and Human Rights (BHR), human rights due diligence (HRDD), ESG trends, and anti-corruption frameworks to support programme and policy development
- Assist in preparing concept notes, training materials, presentations, policy briefs, and programme reports
- Support policy-related initiatives, including stakeholder consultations, drafting policy inputs, and contributing to the development of laws, guidelines, or recommendations
- Coordinate with member companies, partners, and relevant stakeholders, including UN agencies, government bodies, financial institutions, and civil society organizations
- Draft communication and outreach materials, including articles, social media content, case studies, and event-related communications
- Assist in data collection, participant feedback analysis, and preparation of summary reports
- Provide logistical and administrative support for programme implementation, including event coordination and participant management
- Support documentation of meetings, workshops, and consultations, including note-taking and follow-up actions
COMPETENCIES
- Educational and Experience Requirement
- Education: A senior or newly graduated student from the first-level university degree, preferably social science, law, sustainability management or related fields
- Experience:
- Background or interest in law, public policy, human rights, sustainability, or anti-corruption
- Experience in research, programme support, stakeholder engagement, training coordination, or project management is considered an advantage
Language skills:
- Proficiency in Thai and English is required.
- Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Computer/ Technical skills:
- Essential communications and analytics tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Proficiency in Canva and AI Tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Notebook LLM) is an advantage.
